Traditional movie tracking apps often encourage ratings and public reviews, but our research revealed that many film lovers simply wanted a space to reflect on what they watched. Betterboxd rethinks the experience through guided journaling, helping users capture their thoughts and emotions in a more personal and mindful way.

Returning to a book after days or weeks away can feel overwhelming, causing many readers to abandon the experience altogether. Inspired by television's "Previously on..." format, Jared uses AI to generate spoiler-free recaps that help readers re-engage with their stories confidently and mindfully.

Most weather apps are designed to help people plan what's next. PastCast explores a different perspective, allowing users to revisit historical weather and reconnect with meaningful moments in their lives. By surfacing weather from the same day up to ten years ago (and beyond through a calendar view), the app transforms familiar data into a nostalgic, personal experience.

Live Activities
Group travel often involves repeatedly checking maps, estimating arrival times, and sending "Where are you?" messages. Omawe reimagines this experience by using Live Activities to keep each traveller's progress and ETA visible at a glance, reducing uncertainty and making shared journeys feel effortless.
About
A little about myself
One of my earliest memories is getting my first computer when I was seven years old. The first thing I opened wasn't a game or the internet, it was Microsoft Word. I typed a few words, then spent the next hour clicking through every font I could find. Looking back, I think I was fascinated by the idea that the same words could feel completely different depending on how they were presented.
That curiosity never really went away. Today, I'm studying Software Engineering at RMIT University and learning at the Apple Developer Academy in Bali, where I've found a passion for turning thoughtful ideas into products that feel simple, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable to use.
I'm still early in my career, which is exactly what makes it exciting. Every project introduces a new problem, a new perspective, and a chance to learn something I didn't know before. That's the part of design I enjoy most.
